Hosting and domain terms

1. Service and Plesk subscription

Riecko.com may provide a website or application environment through a dedicated Plesk subscription. Depending on the selected plan, this can include domain management, websites, email, databases, SSL, backups, FTP/SFTP or SSH. Only the components agreed in writing are included.

2. Domain registration

A domain is requested through a registrar or reseller. The customer or organisation with ultimate control is registered as the official domain holder. The rules and procedures of the relevant registry, such as SIDN for .nl, also apply. A domain registration is final only after confirmation from the registrar.

3. Term and renewal

Hosting and domains are provided for the agreed period and, where stated in the quote or confirmation, renew automatically. The customer receives an invoice or renewal notice in advance. Cancellation must be submitted before the agreed renewal date.

4. Payment and suspension

Invoices must be paid within the agreed term. In case of non-payment, Riecko.com may, after reasonable notice, restrict or suspend the service. Domain registrations, registry fees and registrar costs may remain payable separately.

5. Management, maintenance and availability

Maintenance, updates, monitoring, backups and support are provided where included in the plan or managed hosting agreement. Maintenance may temporarily affect availability. Riecko.com does not provide an absolute uptime guarantee unless explicitly agreed in writing.

6. Backups and recovery

Backups are an additional safety measure and do not replace the customer’s own backup strategy. Backup frequency, retention and recovery options are stated per plan or assignment. Recovery after an incorrect change or deletion may be provided as an additional service.

7. Customer responsibilities

• The customer provides accurate contact and domain holder details.
• The customer keeps access credentials confidential and reports security incidents promptly.
• The customer does not use the hosting for spam, phishing, malware, copyright infringement or other unlawful content.
• The customer remains responsible for content, applications, accounts and data placed in the environment.

8. Managed hosting and additional work

Managed hosting only includes the work described in the quote or order confirmation. CI/CD, GitLab integration, migrations, custom configuration, incidents and recovery work may be agreed and billed separately.

9. Termination and transfer

At termination, Riecko.com will reasonably cooperate with the transfer of domains, files and data, provided the customer has met its payment obligations. Hosting data and backups may be deleted after the agreed retention period. The customer is responsible for timely migration or securing of data.

10. Personal data

When Riecko.com processes personal data on behalf of a business customer, the parties may enter into a separate data processing agreement. Riecko.com’s privacy policy describes personal-data processing related to its own services.

11. Liability

Riecko.com is liable only for direct damage resulting from an attributable failure, within the limits of mandatory law and the agreement. Damage caused by incorrect customer data, the customer’s own applications, lost credentials or failure to maintain backups is not the responsibility of Riecko.com.
